Signature Capture Module

 

The Signature Capture Module works in conjunction with PackGuard Basic+ System. 

Guest packages are delivered to the shipping and receiving area where they are stored and recorded for future delivery.  When the shipping and receiving clerk is ready to deliver a package to a guest, they may use the hand held unit to record the delivery of the package. 

The shipping and receiving clerk will insert the hand held unit into the cradle connected to the computerMeasura 1000 and press the synchronization button on the cradle.  This will copy all the packages on the PC that have a status equal to ‘Hold’ to the hand held unit. 

Find the package to be delivered by searching for guest last name, company name, tracking number or any other field available on the hand held unit.  When found, tap on the desired package and then tap on the SIGNATURE field.  This will display a box where the guest can sign for the package. 

Allow the guest to sign in the box using the hand held stylus.  When finished, tap on the DONE button.  Tap on the END button to return to the list of packages. 

After all packages have been delivered and signatures have been obtained, insert the hand held unit into the cradle connected to the computer and press the synchronization button on the cradle.  This will update all the records on the PC with the modified records on the hand held unit.  All signed packages will change from ‘Hold’ to ‘Delivered’ and will reflect that date and time of delivery as well as which hand held unit was used to deliver the package.  At the same time, any new packages that were added to the Guest Package System via the PC will be copied to the hand held unit, ready for signature capture.
